Titration Curves

Change the settings as you wish and then click the “Update” button below to plot the titration curve for a monoprotic acid titrated with a monoprotic base or vice versa.

Use the sliders to adjust the pKa of the acid (default is for ethanoic acid, a weak acid), the pKb of the base (default is for a strong base, e.g. NaOH), the pKs for the solvent (default is 14, pKw for water), the concentrations of the acid and the base, and the volume of the acid or base placed in the conical flask.  Note that you can copy the graph and paste it into a graphics app or other document.  Note also that pH values shown will not be precise, especially at higher concentrations and in the presence of strong electrolytes, since activities have not been taken into account.
